BlakkV - NYC & BEYOND by way of SouthJamaica,Queens
Starting off as only a teen in the game in 2002, producer-songwriter and now rapper BlakkV has become a rising star on the independent music scene. Coming straight from Jamaica, Queens, BlakkV has erased the boundaries of the hip-hop genre to create timeless sounds that appeal to even the most uptight music fanatics.

Steadfast local fans have heard of BlakkV, also known as V.I. on his produced tracks, as one of the founding producers and songwriters for Queens-own Real Recognize Real (RRR). The group composed of rappers Bad News, S.P.E.C. Dolla, and Kev G., created two albums before going on to independent projects.

Since then, BlakkV has worked with each artist separately, and is currently cited with producing credits for 7 out of the 12 tracks listed on S.P.E.C. Dolla’s concept album “Every Second Counts” (2011), and has written three hooks on Bad News’ 2008 project “Misconception.”

Currently, BlakkV has teamed up with Texas-based music groundbreakers Modern Renaissance( Sixx and QuickSand) to continue to merge styles and genres in new productions.
